Hydraulic Rollblocks cut setup time and reduce the effort required to move heavy dies. With hydraulic pressure actuated, their supporting balls or rollers lift molds and dies from the horizontal bolster surface for easy movement. After pressure is released, the die or mold rests on the bolster. The rollblocks can then be removed if desired. Use rollblocks in pairs or sets; size depends on T slot dimensions and load requirements. They come in many standard sizes, with manual or air/hydraulic pumps available. Advantages:
NEW MODELS! New Dual-Directional Rollblocks allow hydraulic roller lifters to move dies in two directions (front to back and left to right). With high lift capacities of 350, 550 or 875 lbs. per roller, these rollblocks greatly reduce rolling resistance during die transport. Suitable for custom installations.
Mechanical Rollblocks reduce setup time and simplify die handling without external power. Installed in existing T slots or machined slots in press bed or bolster, their spring-loaded support balls or rollers lift tools and dies for easy positioning. Once in position, the lifters compress during clamping to allow die contact with the bolster. Mechanical rollblocks come in many standard sizes, based on T slot dimensions and load requirements. Advantages:
Mechanical Rollblock Inserts are individual spring-loaded inserts that fit in holes drilled in the bolster to provide a "rolling platform" for easier die positioning. They can also be mounted in accessory plates or die cushion pin holes, where the inserts rest on their upper flanges. Ball-type inserts allow die movement in any direction and carry loads from 45 to 220 lbs. per insert. Roller inserts handle twice the load of same-size ball inserts, with die movement in only one direction. Four sizes accommodate a wide range of load requirements. Advantages:
Quick Change Die Supports speed changeover by providing a convenient platform to temporarily position dies outside the press so the die can be rolled in and out during the die changeover. Available in fixed or detachable types, these pairs of "arms" are equipped with hardened rollers to reduce friction. Depending on carrying capacity, application and mounting conditions, a variety of designs can be supplied. Typical options include overhung support, swivel-mounted support, variable sliding support, support with an adjustable leg and others made to suit individual requirements. Advantages:
New hydraulic rectangular rollblocks from Hilma deliver greater lift capacity at a lower price than earlier models. These standardized modular units provide a fast, convenient solution to varied die movement requirements. Roller-type hydraulic die lifters now work with higher operating pressures which provide maximum lift capacity per foot. In stock and ready for delivery, they fit existing 1-1/16" T-slots and can be shimmed, if needed, for deeper slots. Hilma die lifters are also available in a mechanical version with spring-loaded ball lifters suitable for use in light dies and small presses. Offered in several lengths and configurations, both hydraulic and mechanical rollblocks provide consistent, reliable operation. New lower prices on the hydraulic die lifters reflect new in-house manufacturing and a more efficient design than previous models. Advantages:
